Baked Apples

6 each Apples; cored, unpeeled
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3/8 cup raisins; seedless
<1/2 cup water; HOT
3/4 teaspoon butter; melted

Score apples once around middle to prevent bursting. Place apples in pan. Fill cavities with raisins. Mix sugar and cinnamon, combine with water and butter, and pour over apples. Bake 45 minutes in 375 degree oven or until tender, basting occasionally. Serve apples with pan syrup.

Can be served as a dessert, a side dish with pork or chicken, or with breakfast.
